Market Data is Delayed

Hi there,

I updated to Gruss ver 1.3.0.39 today (060219).

I am now getting a 'Market Data is delayed' message box whenever I open a new page and click on a market.

My account is funded and I have just spoken to Betfair on the phone who confirmed I have no restrictions on my account.

I watched the prices in the Horse racing win market and they didn't change for over six minutes.

Any ideas what's going on?

Hi,

If you are seeing that message then I would say Betfair have put a restriction on your account.

You need to ask the API team as normal Betfair Customer Services would not necessarily know about it.

Please contact the API team via their support web page and ask them if your API access is restricted to delayed data.

Hi,

The usual reasons are not having a funded account which I don't think applies to you or their systems have detected a Commercial Profile usage.
If you have markets open for long periods and don't place any bets then their system can flag your account as someone who maybe collecting data for some other purpose e.g. commercial purpose.
By the way, I'm not saying this is what you have been doing, I'm just giving you information.

You need to find out what the reason is first and then explain what you are doing and ask them if they can remove the restriction.

I do have a habit of having more than one instance of Betfair/Gruss open (usually by accident), not noticing that I have them open then buggering off out for the day without remembering to close some of them down. As I leave my PC on pretty much permanently then I'm not surprised there have been markets running with no bets being placed for hours or maybe days.
