Lay/Back field buttons and tick offset.

Postby Mr Frisk » Sat Mar 01, 2014 12:29 am

Hello,

May I ask why the lay field/back field buttons stop working when tick offset is increased beyond 255, and can this issue be fixed?

Many thanks for any assistance.

We're now on version 1.3.0.38 , might be worth updating your version as that one is very old and they've been quite a few chages.

Hello, thanks for replying. Sorry the for late response, I had forgotten I posted.

My original post was almost 2 years ago and this has been an issue in every version since then. I am currently using version 1.3.0.37a which I believed to be the latest version as it's meant to auto-update.

How do I update to version 1.3.0.38? I have just uninstalled and reinstalled and I am still on 37a. Is this lay the field /tick offset problem not an issue for anyone else as I have not seen any other complaints?

Many thanks for your help.

It is due to a byte data type being used in my code which can only hold a maximum value of 255. I am changing it to an integer. I will post a link to an update shortly.

It honestly hasn't been a big issue as I assume not many users have requirements for tick offsets over 255, but it's a needless limit for which I apologise.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
