Cross matching

Postby Roadhouse » Sun Jan 17, 2016 4:50 pm

Hi will any of the cross matching information be available in excel ? For example on the Gruss interface you can ask for the cross matching to be shown and the information is highlighted in yellow when bets are matched by the cross matcher.

As far as I can see the XM generated prices are already included in the excel data.

You don't need to do anything as they're just included in the price data that's sent to the excel sheet. It doesn't show up any different to the other price data.

With the old API the XM prices weren't included in the API price data requests so any program wanting to display them had to calculate the prices itself.

With the new API you can request data with or without the XM prices, so the data is exactly the same as the website shows. If you have cross matching selected on the program(i.e. the box ticked) then it will request the XM prices along with the prices and they'll get sent to excel as well as the ladder/grid.

If you load a XM betting market and link it to excel you can switch on the XM button on the grid and you'll see the XM prices appear on both the grid and excel, as soon as you turn it off the XM prices will disappear from both.

Hi when you have the x button on for the grid it highlights the cross matched prices with a yellow highlight, does anything happen in excel when the yellow highlights occurs?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
