Excel Help

Postby rayray3 » Thu Jun 25, 2015 10:45 am

Im a complete new starter to gruss and excel

Is there a way I can lay the 2nd horse that goes odds on in running using gruss do you know ?

IE 1st horse goes under odds of 2 (ignore this)

2nd Horse challenges and its odds dip under 2 ( lay this horse for a set amount )

Anyone willing to help or point me in the direction of a spreadsheet I can play around with ? :D

Depends on your knowledge of excel but doesn't seem hard to do. Basically you'd never have two horses at odds on at the same time due to x-matching so you'd have to set a marker for when one horse had gone odds on. Easy to do if you know VBA if not you could just as easily use formulas and send a £2 bet at 1.01 to kill itself if not mathced and that would leave a CANCELLED marker in the bet ref column so your other triggers could fire the second bet if something went under 2 if a count of cancels showed as 1.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
