Bets not triggering from Excel

Postby Macd » Fri Nov 23, 2012 9:26 pm

I entered ten Lays in the "Selection"sheet of "Place_Bets.xls" this morning.
The Min Odds for eight of the lays were set to 2.95 and for the other two were 1.0
The Max Odds for all were set to 6.05.
The only two lays triggered with Betfair had Min Odds of 1 and an SP of 3.0 and 3.25
The other lays ranged from 1.8 to 6.0 SP yet weren't triggered.
Does anyone have any idea why this should happen?

Hi Macd, it's been days already but have you found any luck on this yet?

I think I'm sorted now, I didn't have the correct trigger boxes ticked in the Excel set up.
But, having said that, I had a couple of lays fail today, one at 2.1 SP (limit set at 6.05) and another at 6.0 (limit 6.05). Five other lays were picked up without any problems.
I need to be able to sit and watch and see what happens. the lays should be triggered at one minute before the race starts and I can see that although the "Racing Post" gives an SP of 6.0 it could have been higher at the one minute before mark, but that doesn't apply ( I wouldn't think) when the SP is 2.1.

You'd need to make sure your overall liability for the SP bets was at least £10, so at 2.1 SP the stake would have had to be at least £9.10.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
