if there is a site where you can get a list (preferably that can be copied into excel) of the days racing winners, their Betfair SP, and how high they traded in running?

The Betfair/Timeform site lists the BSPs and how high they traded:

At the moment though, I'm just writing each down on paper and then filling in my spreadsheet myself. Could do with a simpler way!

Thanks for that Captain Sensible, but I'm just looking for a handy list that can be copied and pasted - that site involves downloading loads of files.

It's only one file a day for UK or Irish winners, much simpler than what you're doing now and you can catch up any days you've missed. Can't think of any site that's laid out with the info exactly as you need it, there's a daily BSP page but that doesn't include mins and maxs.

http://www.timeform.com/free/

By "how high they traded" I assume you mean how low the odds were, as most losers will trade at very high odds in running.

You'll have to click on each meeting, but it doesn't involve downloading anything.

Umm, my mistake, that link goes to the same page you've been using.

CS's idea is best I think.

My mistake - I thought each of those files were for individual races, not for each day. That will save me loads of time. Thanks!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
