Well this isn't true, Virgin Media have 100 meg connection speeds which I could have if I got the upgraded router and paid some more per month.
The Virgin tech I spoke to a few month back told me I would be able to get 200 meg next year.
Obviously not everyone can get this but there are some of us with Virgin cable who can.

I have been using the Betfair video a bit.

ATR on Virgin TV is a joke. It is so behind it is like looking at another race.

The pictures with Betfair are 5 seconds faster than ATR on Virgin cable TV.

I will check with my brother who has Sky to see how the Betfair speeds are for ATR and RUK.

The Cobain website is not amateurish, it is basic. It doesn't give anything away.
It would be interesting to know if anyone is actually getting pictures from these people.

need faster pictures

Postby granslam » Tue Feb 14, 2012 1:07 pm

Hi,
Had a trail with cobain ltd last year cannot afford the price they are asking so i am trying to find a sydicate to join.
I am finding the picture delays to much without these streams.
Betfairs own streaming has improved recently but still not enough.
I trade on mainly tennis also cricket.

Thanks
:)

Hi Jumpsfan,

When i had a trail i looked through most of the channels all the sports i looked at which i could compare with sky were at least 4 or 5 seconds infront.
A shame the old analogue tv pictures are being phased out over the coming weeks now.Sports you could pick up on BBC or ITV were a few seconds infront of Sky Pictures.
Cobain pictures will be what we are all looking for but cost is to much. I have not found another company which provides this service thats not to say there is not one out there. a syndicate to join is what i'm looking for.

Hi Andy,

I have found Betfairs tennis feeds have improved a little especially tennis which i was watching on eurosport which was near impossiable before Betfairs impovements but cobains feeds worst case senario 4 seconds to 5. This may have changed a little since my trial.
They do cover all sports most tournments by region packages
(Gold) European, Nordic, Asia and Us.
(Silver) European and Nordic
(Bronze) European
Cost has gone up since my trail now £7000, £6000 and £5000per month.
A LOT IS AN UNDER STATEMENT!
You can be in a syndicate of up to 10 people.
Another big problem is they don't help put syndicates together.
Hope this helps.

hi granslam

thanks for the reply .

did you compare RUK on sky with cobain, if so , what was the difference . i think RUK is about 3 seconds behind live at the moment . also , do they stream these pictures over the internet to you, or do you need some special satellite equipment ?

Hi Jumpsfan,

I don't know about RUK sorry. Feeds are over the internet, a down loaded player.

i thought cobain was only marginally ahead of sis and not worth it. These parasites (SIS and Cobain) shd realise ppl are skypeing the pictures from the track now and their days of ripping ppl off are numbered.

My trail was with Cobain.
I don't want to pay for pictures, which a number of years ago i did not need to but without these feeds i have found it harder and harder year on year to compete with those who have them, which i feel has been on the increase.
It would be great if everyone was on a level playing field but as we all know life is not like that.
I hope Triggerhappy is right that their days are numbered!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
