hi, im backing/laying the field inplay.i need to cancel any remaining selections when the first bet is matched.
i see this option in the software as a tick box but how can i do this with an excel spreadsheet.

The option you see is only for manually placed bets. There aren't any Excel triggers that directly provide this function so you will need to use the CANCEL trigger on the remaining selections.

You can check the matched stake in column W to determine when a bet is matched and then make sure the CANCEL trigger appears in column T against the remaining selections. To check if any are matched you could use a SUM formula on column W and if not zero then it means one is matched.

i take it the formula still needs to be input in the trigger column as part of the statement BACK-SL10 etc,
you couldnt give an example of this formula that i could enter as im only just starting out with excel.

For example cell Z1 contains the sum of the matched stakes in column W (you will need to put the SUM function there). The trigger column will need to contain either your back or lay trigger or CANCEL therefore it needs to be a formula.

Eg.

Code: Select all

=if(z1=0,"LAY","CANCEL")

You should put the above formula against all selections.

im wondering what cells do what on BA when connected to excel?

is there a refrence guide to help determine this?

for example the one given to me that "Z1 contains the sum of the matched stakes in column W", i woudnt have known this .

Z1 is a spare cell, Gary was using it as an example of where you could put a SUM formula to calculate the total matched stakes from column W.

Hi,

Apologies, that is an oversight and will be corrected before the New Guide is published.

F2 shows more info on Market Staus: blank if active otherwise it can show "Suspended" or "Closed"
