Automatically linking BA and Excel

Postby macdos01 » Thu Oct 20, 2011 4:32 am

Hi guys,

I have tried to search the forums so I do apologise if this has already been covered. I am trying to find a way to automatically link BA to Excel. Is there a way to programatically do this in VBA? or adding options when opening BA from the command line. If this isn't possible do any of you guys have a solution using other software/freeware - if so how reliable is it if it records mouse clicks etc?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Use the 'Excel/Log multiple sheets quick link' from BA menu

Any reason why you need to do it via VBA? It's only a mouse click on BA to open up open up excel and all worksheets etc won't quicker having to load excel etc. Plenty of options within BA to clear and reload the next days markets if you want things to run continuously

Full automation, which includes when my computer restarts either from a power outage or an automatic update I would like to be able to have BA and Excel load up automatically (easily achieved) and then linked.

On a side note I found that when I used 'log multiple sheets' the first sheet (of 6) didn't actually link but the other 5 did.

Use a mouse recording program to access the 'log excel quick link' ,
"mouse recorder pro" is free

As suggested a macro recorder is your only option at present because the program does not currently provide an automatic way .

Ok, thanks for letting me know - I'll go down the recorder path.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
