How to select different Markets.

Postby Royville » Wed Oct 12, 2011 12:07 pm

Hello,

Using BA for Betdaq, I want to program my excel spreadsheet to select a market, - say 14:00 Redcar, record the current odds for each horse, then select another market, say Lingfield and record those odds, etc etc for about 8 races. I want to select these markets straight after each other.

Does anyone know if this is possable using excel, how could I do it?

Hoping you can help - thanks

There's 2 ways I know of, either ...

a)First you need the market ID's you want to navigate, eg 103688955. Then you can navigate directly to the market either using GO: 103688955 in cell Q2 in Excel

b) Using the COM. Assume cell F1 in sheet1/tab1 contains the market path Soccer\English Soccer\Npower League One\Fixtures 13 September\Sheff Utd v Huddersfield

then assuming 2 tabs are open in BA

Code: Select all
ba.TabIndex = 2
result = ba.openMarket(BAEvents(Sheet1.Range("F1").Value).eventId, BAEvents(Sheet1.Range("F1").Value).exchangeId)

will open the market in tab1 in tab2 of BA

Oh - just realised you mean Betdaq.. I'm not sure if all of this works in that version?
Sorry :)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
