Posting Bets

Hi Everyone,

I have recently installed Gruss Software and wanted to ask the following;

I had verify bets on and the pop window came up asking me about the odds I wanted to take. I put in 7.7 and then submitted the bet. However the bet wasn't placed and there was no error message or anything. However looking at the ladder for this horse there wasn't a price for 7.7. I have also logged into Betfair the normal way and checked unmatched bets but there wasn't anything there either. Do I need to worry about this or is it just a case of Gruss not submitting the bet because this price wasn't on the ladder?

You probably didn't notice, but there should have been an error message displayed in the black bar right at the bottom of the application window. Try it again with the same odds to verify that you do see this error message. You should see "Error placing bet. (INVALID_INCREMENT)" which means the odds are not valid Betfair odds.

Yes indeed. You should be able to see an error message displayed in the black bar.
