back 1,4

Postby NITRIX1974 » Mon Oct 03, 2011 9:27 am

hello, somebody can help me, I want to put one back to below the current fee before starting the race and I keep it until it arrives share (1.4).

example:

a horse has back 2.8 @ before the race started.

I want to put a 1.4 back @ before the race started.

I put the back to 1.4 before starting the race and I accept it when I get back to 1.4 .

as I can do it?

thanks

You cannot place a bet below the current odds. Betfair will match immediately at the current best odds because this is how they want it to work. Your only option is to use a method that will monitor the odds and if they go down to 1.4 then place the bet. The problem with this is you have a risk of not being matched especially if the market is in play because of the one second delay that is imposed before matching the bet.

See the user guide which you can select from the help menu and read about conditional bets. This is the feature you need.

Good stuff. I got the same issue. I spent approximately 1 hour trying to figure it out until I saw this answer. Thanks. Image

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
