Hi Graham
You are right I don't need 2 work sheets.... all the information is scrambling my brain!!!!!
But there are a couple of others things that puzzle me:
1) If you have races in your quicklist that start less than 5min from one another yet you are going to automatically load the races 5min from one another what happens?
For example the next race has loaded and betting has begun... but the next race is only 1min away... I presume that this means that the initial loaded race will disappear after only 1min of betting and the new comes in its place.
How do you get over this problem? I was hopin to get the whole 5mins of betting before a race?
2) How do you stop the automated betting from continuing when the race goes in-play?

Thank you for any help....

You wont like this, but you will need more than 2 worksheets!!!

But its not a problem.

In Options, Preferences, tick Load different venues in separate pages.

When you load the races you will then see each venue in a seperate tab.

You can then link each venue to a separate worksheet.

Regarding when the race goes in play, cell E2 will say "In Play" when the market goes in play, so you can include a simple check for this in your trigger formula.

regarding clashing race times, if you are only playing UK horse racing markets, you wont miss very many, as there are rarely markets less than 5 minutes apart. The occasional ones which are usualy have the same start time. Even any irish racing generally slots in.

Is the worksheet named correctly? It should be MyBets
Note that it is a capital M and capital B and there are no spaces.

Does anyone know if they is a way to alter the automated offset bet in Excel.
For example if you were to type the trigger - BACK-T2 - how could a organise the initial back stake to be different from the offset lay stake?

Thanks

if you are looking for level profit, then BACK-TL2 will automatically fire the offset lay stake to ensure the same amount of profit whether the selection wins or loses.

Say you back £100 at 7.0, BA will fire an lay of £106.06 at odds of 6.6, if you are laying two ticks lower.

If the selection wins, your back returns £600, and your lay pays out £593.94, netting you £6.06 before commission.

If the selection loses, your lay returns, obviously £106.06, and your back loses £100, netting you, again, £6.06.

The sounds brilliant... thank you!
Can I just ask though, not being a budding mathmatician is that the maximum you can win in this situation on both the back and lay situation... for example if you were to lay £110 rather than 106.6 would this improve both the back and lay win situation at the end of the race?

I am also very keen to up the losing horse win... so a larger offset lay bet would be where I really want to be even though it would mean that if the horse won I would lose more....?

Is there an additional column or trigger where I can set the offset odds?

Click the selection you wish to see the chart for. You can change the style of chart under Options>Chart preferences.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
