In Play bet never happened

Postby brumbie » Thu May 26, 2011 3:15 pm

Hi guys, just put my normal trigger bet in:
BACKSP_PL50

it backs at sp then lays at half sp at double stakes...never ever had a problem until today when even tho the nag won it never put a lay bet in in running...odds were 3.2 so no obvious reason why?
Now i'm not complaining because i got the winning odds so heh but i'm worried why it didn't put the lay in?..been doing this for many weeks so what do u guys think?....answers on a postcard etc..lol....thanks guys.

No idea I'm afraid. Please email the diagnostic log to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

It's named BA_Diagnostic.txt and is located in c:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs

Please include the bet ref of the back bet in your message.

What race was it? Been a few occasions with false starts where they reconcile the sp then reset to not in play. Did you check the log to see if the offset was placed then maybe cancelled when they put the race back inplay at the proper start

Have you checked to see if the offsets are firing in the transaction logs? I guess it's possible the offset bets may be going in earlier than the market's reopening after reconciliation, doubtful but you need to check the logs first to see if the offsets are being rejected or just not firing.

Have you closed the program down after betting and reopened? I've never had a problem with it not logging bets in the transaction log.

Gary should be able to help, just email him the diagnostic log to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

It's named BA_Diagnostic.txt and is located in c:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs

Always best to drop stakes to a minimum if there's problems until you get to the bottom of it.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
