Target / Stake

When using Back All or Lay All in My Bets, what is the tick box used for on the right of the Stake/Target/Liability selection fields?

If you click "Target" or "Stake" and enter an amount then it calculates the appropriate stakes. The tick box is used to fix these amounts if you change the odds so that if you change the odds the stakes are recalculated accordingly.

Thanks Gary.
As a follow up to this, what it the easiest way to enter data so that stakes are calculated so that one of the selections is to return a zero profit rather than an equal profit if it is backed and wins?

There is no easy way through MyBets, it doesn't do the calculation for you. It can be done through the regular dutching feature though. See the demo videos here http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5579 (it's the last video).

Excellent, thanks. I knew there'd be a way.

I'll go and take a look at some of the other videos too as a refresher.

I have taken a look at this and it's exactly what I was interested in except that it seems to place bets at the best current Back rate.
Using My Bets it's possible to change the odds before placing the bets but not to indicate a zero profit for one of the selections.

Is there a way to determine the "Dutch" stakes with one of the selections at zero profit having altered the odds if the current Back odds aren't the ones required?

Sorry, I'm afraid it isn't possible. I will think about including something in a future release.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
