Postby iceman » Wed Apr 21, 2010 2:41 pm

Hi,

I'm an iternational user, and I'm loading gryhounds races in excel as I do evry day.

Today the second bet is not automatcly placed as always...

I'm using the 1.1.0.66n version.

Someone else has that problem?!?!

Can you give more information?

Do you mean the bet is placed on the first race and when it automatically selects the next race it is not being placed?

Have you ticked "Clear bet refs on auto select market" when you set up the Excel link?

Are you using Betting Assistant in conjunction with any other software?

- I ticked "Clear bet refs on auto select market"

- The only software I'm using in conjunction with BA are obviusly excel and also Firefox

- the markets are authomaticly loaded in the quick picklist when the scheduled off preciding race

- It happens that the first bets are placed correctly, but when the first bet is fired is not authomatcly placed the offset bet; it's happens also if the countdown about 1 minute befor scheduled, I think is not a problem of autoload the next race.
in the bar apperas processing, but the offset bet is not placed.
Fortunely i'm using a greenup/redup macro, that close the first bets.

- My spreadsheet is the same I used in the last month, and it works fine untill today.

- My internet connection is good today

Regards.

I only mentioned auto load of next race because it wasn't clear what you meant by "second bet". Now I can see you are talking about tick offset.

What is the exact trigger you are using?
Are you using above or below minimum stakes?
If you look in the transaction log under the accounts menu are there any entries which indicate an attempt to place the offset bet?

You can also send the file named "BA_Diagnostic.txt" in the folder named "c:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs" to admin@gruss-software.co.uk which may provide some clues to the problem.

It was actually a quicker fix than I anticipated. I have uploaded version 1.1.0.66o to fix this problem. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. It was caused by a bug fix in version 1.1.0.66n affecting logging of errors in Excel. I added another bug by mistake.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
