Thinking of trying this software a few questions

Postby psmuk » Wed Apr 21, 2010 12:54 pm

Hi there

I am thinking of trying this software and buying it, but have a few questions first if someone can oblige with answers :)

1: Can this auto bet within a certain time before the race begins?

2: Can a list of horses to lay be selected from say a website which lists possible lays? For example I go to a website with a list which is pretty much like this
Time Venue Runner NameSelection Id Market Id
15:30 Epsom Downs 21st Apr Gumnd 3969920 101338911

What information is needed for this software? From what is listed?

Hope someone can help

Thanks

Gary

Yes , the time to the off is displayed in excel so it's just a case of putting in an IF condition to determine when the bet should be placed

Yes, excel can do webqueries to pull info off the net, looks like the data provided is in a table so should be relatively easy to match the market and runner using vlookup for a name and marketid match

Hi there

thanks for the reply, looking at what you said may need a hand with the coding in excel etc.

i assume I can have it check the website periodically throughout the day??

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
