Help for a script

Postby gvigliani » Wed Apr 07, 2010 5:14 pm

Hi Gruss,

I wrote a bot to automate some of my play, but something I am not convinced.
The command that I put in the trigger and BACK-TLxx-SLxx "BACK but works perfectly well but the TLxx, stop loss SLxx not enter. I make a mistake or is there a bug in the program?

Thanks

Vigliani - Not quite sure what you are doing with this part of the 2nd trigger
---------------------------------
TLxx, stop loss SLxx
-------------------------------
Are you putting this in the same cell? Are you writing BACK or LAY before this trigger? Could you let us know what you are trying to achieve?

Hi gvigliani,

Are you putting the whole trigger in quotes or just BACK?

Trigger looks ok to me but must be entered like:
"BACK-TLx-SLx","" - and not - "BACK"-TLx-SLx,"" (x=number)

Maybe I'm wrong - just trying to help. Works as above for me.

Ttfn - Michael :)

That trigger is OK. It can't be a general bug because other users use this trigger format and it works.

1) Is your trigger being constructed with a formula? If so could you post the formula?

2) Are you changing markets before the back bet is matched?

Hi Gary!
my script is generated by VB Code.

foglioExcelSnake.Range(Q(fst_fav)) = "CLEAR" ' scommessa
foglioExcelSnake.Range(Q(fst_fav)) = "CANCEL-ALL"
foglioExcelSnake.Range(R(fst_fav)) = foglioExcelSnake.Range(b(fst_fav)) ' Back3 odds
foglioExcelSnake.Range(S(fst_fav)) = DFav_stake
foglioExcelSnake.Range(T(fst_fav)) = ""
If chk_eq.Value = Unchecked Then
foglioExcelSnake.Range(Q(fst_fav)) = "BACK-T" & Tick_off & "-SL" & stopLoss_off
Else
foglioExcelSnake.Range(Q(fst_fav)) = "BACK-TL" & Tick_off & "-SL" & stopLoss_off
End If

fst_fav = Number line bet
DFav_stake = stake
Tick_off = Number of ticks
stopLoss_off = Number of StopLoss Tick

I don't changing market when a market is in play. When the game is off the program change Market on quick list.

Thank You

I tested similar code and it works ok.

When the game is off the program change Market on quick list.

Is this market change definitely after the BACK bet has been matched?

After the back bet has been placed check the transaction log under the account menu. There should be a an entry with a description similar to the following.
Backed Skye But N Ben @ odds:4.4, stake:2 (Excel BACK Triggered: Odds:4.4 Stake:2 Tick offset:5 Fill or kill:-1)

Check the transaction log after the back bet has been matched. You should have another entry similar to the following.
Layed Skye But N Ben @ odds:3.95, stake:2 (Tick offset bet, final offset bet, Odds:3.95, Stake:2, Ticks:5)

What is displayed in your log?

Your log confirms the tick offset bet worked. Do you still have problems?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
