Multiple Place_Bets.xls

Postby Herbie1809 » Tue Mar 30, 2010 5:18 pm

Hi,

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I'm very new to BA but learning fast.

Excellent software, boys.

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to open multiple horse race markets at the same time?

Basically, I want a separate Place_Bets spreadsheet for each race open at the same time.

Do I rename the Place_Bets spreadsheet? Or open multiple instances of BA?

Cheers

hello,
The quickest and probably the easiest way is to goto Options/preferences/quick pick list/markets

then tick load different venues in sepearte tabs and tick the markets you want in eaach tab.

If you want to do this manually, click new page, then drag the market(s)
into the quick pick list

Once you have what you need in each tab, each tab can be linked to excel using various methods in the Excel option.

You can link tabs to seperate workbooks and seperate worksheets so best performance really depends what you are trying to achieve, how many tabs and refresh rates

Does that help any?

STILL A BIT VAGUE.....

Hi Oskonws,

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, I'm still a bit vague...

What I want to do is have a separate spreadsheet for each race of the day- all at the same time.

I don't suppose you could point me in the direction of an idiot's guide?

Cheers

Ok.. first arrange all the markets you need to monitor in seperate tabs in BA.

Then select Excel/Log multiple sheets quick link

This option allows you to set up a template of excel links. Eg if you generally monitor 10 markets then set up 10 workbooks or 10 worksheets in 1 workbook and start logging

The multiple quick link will link excel in order of tabs from left - right in BA

On nightshift at the mo. Think I've got my head around it now.

So, I'm going home soon to set my laptop and BA loose with some hard earned cash!

Thanks a lot!

(I might not be sayin that later, LOL)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
