Projected SP column

Postby lifeisbet » Tue Mar 02, 2010 1:57 am

In the help I see explained a Projected SP column, and also in Preferences there is the checkbox, but even if this is checked I don't succeed to find the relative column.
You excuse me but I risk to go crazy...

That doesn't sound right. Try selecting "Restore standard grid column layout" from the options menu. If the column is ticked in grid preferences then this column is displayed in between the back and lay price columns.

no Gary, I've tried on two differents PC and indeed I've found other problems, at least for me:
1) as I said, I can't see Projected SP column
2) Restore standard grid column layout don't work at all
3) I add, don't work the right click in order to close a open market (after first) (previously it worked)
thank you

I removed right click to close market. To close a market click on the "X" at the right of each tab name.

Can you send a screenshot of your standard grid to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

Also I should have asked. What markets are you trying to view the projected SP for?

"Restore standard grid column layout" does work. I asked you to use this in case you had re-arranged the column layout and somehow lost the SP column. If you had changed the order or width of the columns you would see that this function worked, but I suspect you have never changed these so that is why you got the impression that it did not work.

The rigth click was however enough usefull, imho.
My grid column is usually - I said - a very standard grid: selection name, conditional bet, price history, three back columns and three lay columns, profit, level profit.

I've found in the basketball market but I've then verified the same behavior in all markets

I would not know to say: I've tried to increase the height of rows in the grid, and restore ecc. don't work; then I've tried to hide back column n. 2 and profit level column, and restore ecc. don't work; I've added one custom column and restore ecc. don't work...

"Restore standard grid layout" does not restore the grid height or hide columns that you have chosen to display. It is only provided to restore the position and width if you have changed these. Try dragging a column header to move it left or right then use this option and you will see that it does have a function.

This is not a problem in Betting Assistant. The projected SP is Betfair's SP. Betfair do not have an SP for Basketball markets, it's currently only available for UK horse racing. See http://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/FAQs_theBasics.html

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
