The onTime function only runs once. After it has run it needs to be reset. I have updated my example.

In your spreadsheet changed the code in module1 to read as follows.
Code: Select all
Public Sub loadQuickPickList()
    triggerQuickPickListReload = True
    Application.OnTime TimeValue("06:00:00"), "loadQuickPickList"
End Sub

I am very sorry for the confusion this has caused. I should I have spotted this earlier.

Gary
I have to report that the new code is working fine :)
Just 1 question.Today morning that BF site was down I saw that the sheets kept trying to refresh, and the "fetching markets" progress was at ~14000 tries.I had to close the application because i didn't know if i could let it keep trying. So if sometime I am not able to close it is it ok?

* you got pm also

thanks

Sorry, I missed this message. It is OK to leave it running. Because Betfair was unavailable the requests were instantly failing and therefore generating instant retries. In a future release I will change it so that it waits a second before trying again, but you can be sure the requests were not processed by Betfair and could not be charged for as excess requests.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
