First, you don't need any particular spreadsheet open to connect to gruss but you do need Excel running, so,

1. Open Excel as a blank workbook(probably called Book1)
2. Boot up Gruss
3. Open a market, like a Correct Score market that you want to trade
4. Go to the 'Excel' link at the top of Gruss
5. Click 'Log current prices'. This will open a new window where you'll see a dropdown menu 'Workbook Name'
6. Choose the workbook (probably Book1) and worksheet to connect with your market. Make sure 'Enable trigerred betting' is checked if you need that funtionality.
7. Click 'OK' and voila, the prices and market details will appear in your Excel worksheet.
8. Alter refresh timing as required and create triggers etc.

Hope that helps....

The excel workbook (book1 or whatever) it must been saved.

Another suggestion is to open first the saved workbook and after the program

If still BA can't see the excel workbook you can also try to connect it through Browse button after you
Click 'Log current prices

Make sure also you are using the latest version 1.0.64.d

If you get it working and need a spreadsheet made for your specific requirements then this is a service we cannot offer. See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1954

It's definitely compatible with Excel 2007. I know of nothing that can block communication, but I have known there being a problem with Excel not being properly installed. Try re-installing office. Before you re-install office try rebooting your PC if you have not already tried this.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
