Start times in market tree

Postby danjuma » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:09 pm

Gary,

I have just started to use version 1.1.0.64 today. I noticed that in the market tree, when one expands the soccer -fixtures, then the fixtures for the date required, and then the match to display the various markets, the starting times of the matches are no longer displayed. It used to be displayed in previous versions up to the last version (1.1.0.63z). Don't know whether you have deliberately or inadvertently remove this feature, or whether it is a Betfair API issue (as it is still displayed for horse races, but not for all the other markets I have checked so far).

If it's something you have removed, could we have it back please, as I find it quite useful.

Thanks
Dan

I removed it deliberately as it is not displayed on the website or in any other API products I looked at. I can make it optional in the next release.

The times are there at the very lowest level eg. match odds, correct score etc.

In passing, is there any reason why you need to double click every heading down the tree until the bottom level, when you only need a single click to load the market ? I would prefer a single click throughout as I usually end up double clicking everything !!

You are using 1.1.0.63u. The double click issue shouldn't exist in the latest version (1.1.0.633z). Please upgrade to this version and let me know if you still have the problem.

It's ok, I've just realised where you are clicking. If you click on the text you have to double click, but if you click on the plus sign to the left you only have to single click. This is the default behaviour of the tree control that I have used. I will see if it can be overridden.

Yes that's what I am doing. It's a bit tricky on my Netbook to click the "+" as its so tiny.

The latest Beta (1.1.0.64a) accepts single click to expand the market tree.

If you already have 1.1.0.64 installed it should auto update, if not see http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3922 for download link.

Thanks for that and the right click to reverse is a great addition as well.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
