Unstability Questions

Hi,
I'm working with version 1.1.0.63n and im finding some instability that i dont know if its because of my codes, computer or B.A. version. Ocassionaly im having this kind of troubles:

1. Markets stop updating (It looks like BA and Excel stop connecting). When this happens, if i unlog in B.A. and the re-log it still doesn't work, i have to close BA and excel to resolve the problem.

2. When changing markets (Through -1 in cell Q2) it stays 2 to 5 seconds with Req. Pending.

3. Column Profit/Loss is updated after the Trigger Columns is checked by B.A. My trigger just fires if the Profit/Loss Column is zero but sometimes it triggers even though the value is not zero because the value are not there at the time the market is loaded and the trigger Column is checked.

I hope someone can share there knowledge around this topics. Thanks in advanced.

1) Did you check the Excel error log under the Excel menu? If the same error is appearing consistently every 10 seconds then that could be the problem.

2) It's waiting for the price and bets calls to return before changing markets. If they get a slow response you will see this delay.

I will try to encounter problem 1) and check for the error log to see if it can help.
For the 3) the ideal was, when changing markets, a refresh cycle to populate the cells and the next one to read the triggers but i don't know if this is happening and if it isn't if its caused by B.A. or maybe some code. I have a piece of COM calls that I'm using for the first time and don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Just after I posted this I realised that is not a 100% solution because it is OK if the trigger cell is populated with a formula, but not VBA. I will continue to work on the fix.

Hi Gary

I have updated to the new versions (1.1.0.63p) and i have encountered what i describe earlier as problem 1), that B.A. and Excel stop communicating. I have checked the excel error log as you suggest and in fact i have the following error appearing every ten seconds:
Action - Log Bets Results
Error Message - Failed

Do you know why this happens? Thanks

It's certainly the reason it's stopped updating. I need to investigate further why the bet results update could continually fail. I'll get back to you.

It's not obvious what the problem is so can I ask you to uninstall and re-install the latest Beta version. I have added more detailed logging code. When the problem occurs again you can send me the log file named BA_Diagnostic.txt located in "C:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs"
