switch from ladder to grid or vise versa.............

Postby elma » Wed Sep 09, 2009 7:04 pm

how can I switch from ladder to grid or vise versa, beside the option in the betting options? right now I switch with the betting options open, but it takes a lot of space.
I know that I could switch by going to options > market interface >...... but this option is not the best imho.

is there any other way that I missed? any help is very much appreciated.

I don't think there is a third method to switch.

thanks milfor for answering. if there is no, I need to go to the suggest forum and suggest that there should be one in the grid and ladder window for easy access and switching possibility.

cheers

Hi All :)

I would also like to see the ladder>grid button which is only available when
betting options is displayed also available at all times. Perhaps there would
be room next to the transaction counter at the top of the screen?

Thanks - Michael :)

I was asking for this nearly a year ago http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3026&highlight=ladder and it has been mentioned since, it's obviously low on the priorities.

Sorry that it sometimes looks like I am ignoring your requests. I have decided to move the "Reverse ladders" checkbox to preferences as you just wouldn't need to keep changing this option and replace it with a far more useful button to switch to the grid. It will be in the next Beta release.

Thanks for that Gary,

I don't want to sound like I'm moaning now that it's done but it seems a bit counter intuitive to have the buttons in two different places for the grid and ladder to switch between views. It's fine as is (in that it does the job) but from a user point view it would be a lot easier and make more sense if it was the same button in the same place that switched views. It seems like there is enough room to put it in both screens. It has just reminded me of another problem that I will put in another thread.

In the mean time thanks again.

You're right. It was a quick fix to appease you. I'll give it some more thought.

For what it’s worth I agree with 2020vision, in placing the grid/ladder switch at the very top so always on display. This would also pave the way if you were planning any further “prettying up” to the left hand side of “Betting Options”

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
