Cell D2 has a countdown to the race off time not sure if this helps,
Other than that it depends if you want to know at the moment a game goes IN PLAY or if you need to know when it should go in play.

Duncan
Thanks for the reply,
I needed to know if a game is going live. I bet in soccer and other sports and some games do not go live and i cant decide (with automation) when to close my positions.
Thanks for any advice.

I don't think there is an indicator in Excel showing if the market is going inplay. It is a good suggestion though maybe Gary could work his magic and make it so!

It is a good suggestion and certainly possible. I will include it in the next release as it is not complicated to do.

Cell I3 now shows 'Y' if the market will be going in play. Download pre-release version 1.1.0.63 using the link below.

How consistent is this indicator I3?

I am currently looking at Caulfield racing in Australia that is showing the Going In-Play in Betfair and is definitely going In Play yet cell I3 is empty.

I thought this might be something to do with Australian racing so selected a race at Ascot for later today and that too doesn't give any indication that the race is going in play in BA. I3 is empty when the race is selected.

When exactly is this cell filled?

There have been several updates to the Beta version. It may not be in your version. The indicator is reliable. Upgrade to the latest Beta.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
