Help required with the new Exell Triggers

Postby admirals » Wed Mar 11, 2009 10:53 pm

Just downloaded and testing the program but wanted to put the following trigger into a Excell sheet will this work with all the arguments together

BACK-T1L-SL5-T05

What I need to achieve is:-
Back with 1 tick offset to level profit with a stop loss of 5 ticks and a time limit for the original back of 5 seconds before being removed if unmatched.
I would just normall test with small stakes but it may take hours for the correct situation to occur as my predition of market moves is poor at the moment.
Any Help would be appreciated.

BACK-TL1-F5-SL5 will do what you want, but the stop loss stake will be the same as the original back stake.

BACK-TL1-F5-SL5-L will calculate the stop loss stake to create a level loss.

New Triggers in 1.1.0.50

Postby xraymitch » Thu Mar 12, 2009 9:39 am

Many thanks for latest version 1.1.0.50.

I need some advice using the new triggers.

Say I have a trigger such as BACK-TL5, and a back bet is matched for example at 8's but the lay bet at 7's goes unmatched. Can I then use LAYR or one of the new stop loss options to cancel the unmatched lay and put in a new lay bet at 10's.

Any suggestions on how to achieve the above are greatly appreciated.

Thanks 8)

If you just used BACK-TL5 then you would need to find the offset bet ref yourself using the log to 'MyBets' feature which would be a bit fiddly and there is no short answer, it requires some development on the user's part which is beyond the scope of our support. You could use BACK-TL5-SL9 and let the program do it for you. In this case if the best back odds go up to 9.8 (therefore assuming no spread the best lay odds will be 10) and the lay bet is not matched then the lay bet will be replaced at 10. The stop loss feature does not monitor the stop loss bet after it has been placed so there is no guarantee it will be matched.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
