question...please help

Postby elma » Fri Feb 06, 2009 11:52 am

hello all

lets say I have a tennis bet on Federer win 1.50, now Federer wins first set and price for Federer win is now 1.15.

what or how do I need to do to put my stoploss at 1.50 for no loss, and no need to sit in front of the monitor?

thanks in advance and sorry if this was already answered somewhere. if this was answered already, please point me to the thread.

You can set up a conditional bet to lay Federer if the price goes back up to or greater than 1.5. Click 'Help' on the program menu and read about 'Conditional bets'.

In your example my personal preference would be to just place a lay bet at 1.15 for the same stake, but I am not here to tell you how you should bet.

It's not guaranteed that the price will go back up 1.5, it might go straight to 1.51 so if you set the conditional bet to place the stop loss if the price equals 1.5 there is no guarantee it will be placed.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
