When the exception appears click continue, then click new page at the top, you will then need to enter all the stakes etc as they will be null..but it will work as normal - not sure why this is happening though???

Why don't BF let us do this without messing about downloading software, worrying about bugs, security etc.?
What is their problem?

Betfair have changed the website slightly, the trader is looking in the wrong places for what it needs. Be patient, layit will have it fixed in no time.

course they will, I think we may have to all club together to get it on the API as they will do these changes/updates to disrupt as the better it gets and the more that use it Free its not in betfairs interest to detract from the API applications!

True. Though it is a double edged sword for them.

If it (or anything else) makes it easier for punters to "get on" then it increases liquidity and their commision.

The other downside for them is if it or any other sw is badly written and hammers the site.

It only used this page to get the names of the refresh variables, but it doesn't actually need them at all since I changed the program to control the refresh itself instead of asking explorer to do the refresh. It was bad programming practice of me to hard code it in the first place, sorry! I will be releasing a new version later which will have an auto update ability so that every time you open the program it will check my site for a later version and automatically update your version. I know that the uninstall/install thing is bugging you

By the way. I don't think it's Betfair's attempt to kill the program, just poor design on my part. I would imagine that the kind of change that will kill the program will come along every couple of years, not weeks.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
