Bets not firing with two linked markets

Postby siony1974 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 2:00 pm

Hi there,

I have a spreadsheet linked to Gruss.
I have been trying to get it to bet from either the Win or place market depending on which criteria are met.
I currently have both the Win market and Place market linked to the same sheet in different areas.
It triggers bets fine from the Win market but not from the place market.

Do I need to put the win and place markets on separate sheets (same workbook) to make it work?
I can link the trigger formulas to make this work with no problems.
If this will work can I direct both to the same Results page when linking so results are all in the one place.
The system will always be betting from one market or the other for a particular race, never both at the same time.

Any ideas what will work?

Hi siony1974
For what it is worth, I have had place and win markets linked to the same sheet in the same workbook, betting and laying using VBA to trigger bets, with no issues. I only have one instance of Gruss open. Currently I am testing a new idea and have the same win market linked to the excel sheet but in different areas. E.G. Brighton 17:20 linked to a1 to x12and ba1 to bx12 - All is working and bets being placed and matched - hope this helps

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
