b.a. on vista vs windows 7/10

Postby docbrown » Mon Nov 07, 2016 2:39 am

I've been testing ba on window7(and windows 10)pc's. I can't seem to get ba running as well as it did on my old vista pc. The refresh errors are always higher on my windows 7/10 pc's. I would like to keep using my vista pc, but microsoft will stop supporting after april 2017.Any ideas?

Could it be the spec of the PCs? Are you trying them all on same connection?

I started on Vista, moved to 7, tried 10, stayed with 7.

Could you keep using the Vista PC just for BA? Remove everything else, don't open any other browsers/email/programmes, should be OK.

Could it be the spec of the PCs? Spec's on new pc(windows 7) are much better than old pc(vista). Are you trying them all on same connection? yes. Had both pc's running side by side. Could you keep using the Vista PC just for BA? Remove everything else, don't open any other browsers/email/programmes, should be OK. This is what i was thinking,i just hope it's safe.

I plan on continuing with my Vista laptop. I've got Kaspersky for security and I've ditched Chrome, replaced with Firefox as they still support 32bit Vista. I don't trade on it but as long as I use some precautions, never click links, it'll do as my coding testing platform (html/JavaScript/arduino/hobby). Also, I don't have any personal data on it anymore, thoroughly cleaned, I think.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
