Betdaq Racecard Numbers

Just started using Betting Assistant for Betdaq yesterday and have noticed for all races at York today the racecard numbers come into excel in the same cell as horse name which makes things difficult. Example below:

Selection name
5 Barsanti
7 Oasis Fantasy
4 Top Tug
10 Innocent Touch
9 Blue Hussar
2 Fattsota
3 Chancery
1 Fire Fighting
8 Croquembouche
6 Pearl Castle

Same issue with all races at Ballinrobe today?

I'm sure there are much more elegant ways of removing the numbers, but you could try a simple substitution, together with trim to remove the spaces

=TRIM(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(A4,"0",""),"1",""),"2",""),"3",""),"4",""),"5",""),"6",""),"7",""),"8",""),"9",""))

Um, that post doesn't look quite right, guessing the sequence was too long. I'll artificially add a space but you'll need to remove it if you're cutting and pasting it

It's probably down to the way Betdaq's API sends the data rather than Gruss. What problems are you having? It's easy enough to use wildcards ("*"&A1 etc) for VLOOKUP or other searches to avoid the first numbers or use things like split if you need to amend the data in VBA

Seems to be happening at Chepstow today. All the Betdaq horses have their saddle cloth number in front of their name.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software
