"Exposure or available bal exceeded."

Postby slochin » Mon Apr 25, 2016 2:25 am

Hello,
BA is so good that I have obtained a second licence to run with another of my Betfair Accounts.
This account is in ₤'s compared to my first account which is in $'s. I have some money in both my UK and Aus account as this is to be run with Aus races.
I am using a copy of the Excel sheet which I am using in my first account. I have tried using different stakes.
Now everything is set up and goes well until it is time to place the bet which I have organised for one minute before race start.
It then shows "Exposure or available bal exceeded."
I must be doing something wrong as I have money in both accounts.
Would appreciate any suggestions

Hello,
A further update. Today it is not showing the Exposure statement but it is still not placing bets.
I upped the stake and the dutchbet for the particular race was 8 and 7 on the two horses.
It shows back in the trigger column against these two but when the race goes off the screen there is no bets placed and nothing in the results sheet.
The Excel sheet I copied from my other account has the amounts in $ but I wouldn't think that could be the problem as the bet is only showing in numbers.

When you say both accounts do you mean both wallets, UK and Australian wallets ? Betfair have a separate wallet for UK and AUS markets due to regulations, you can put funds into the Aus wallet from the accounts tab Account-> Australian Wallet->Funds In. That would explain the exposure message if you were betting on Aus markets with all your funds in the UK wallet.

If your wallets are funded it'll be something simple like checking you ticked 'Enable Triggered Betting' when logging your sheets to excel or just checking the format of your Trigger is in capitals and the correct format

Hello Captain Sensible,
I thought I had it beat when I realised with the second licence I had missed clicking enable. All ready to go today but I am
still receiving the exposure message.
Hoping you might be able to see something in the images.

I see that's betting on AUS races, what's your exposure limit to AUS markets on that account? The Aussie regulators only allow you to have one Aus wallet so it'll be on the main account not any subsequent accounts( if they're in your name). If you go to My Betfair Account on the website it'll show what limits and current exposure you have if you've other open bets taking you to your exposure limit.

Hello Captain Sensible,
Well you have done it again, thanks.
I had set up this second account years ago and now that you mention it I seem to remember something about only allowed one Australian wallet. This of course is being used by my first project.
When I check this account of course my exposure limit is 0.

Hi, I had a similar problem and has a very easy answer...... either alter your 'Batch size' on the Excel log in sheet to max 15 .....or stagger your instances to fire your bets in at diff times, just the next second will do.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
