Cancelling a stop loss bet

Postby vanbuuts » Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:18 am

Hi everyone. I have a trigger which places an initial lay bet - with a stop loss chase bet added should the odds dip to set amount (1.80 in this example).

LAY-TLF8-SLF1.8-L-SLC1

Can I cancel / stop this 2nd bet being placed at all and how? Do I simply put "CANCEL-ALL" in cell Q7 after my initial lay bet has been placed and this will stop the stop loss bet ever being triggered?

TIA

Ø Back/Lay Field
Using this option you can back or lay the entire selected market using the odds set in the lay odds/back odds boxes using the stake that is in the box just above. If you have ‘Cancel remaining when matched’ checked then as soon as a selection gets matched all the other bets that were placed as part of the back/lay field option will be cancelled. This will not affect any other bets that you may already have on the market.

That's what it say in the guide but it doesn't say for a second bet. Maybe, you could just experiment and see what happens?

Thanks for the reply, its tricky to tell by experimenting as the 2nd bet may not get a match anyway - so I wouldn't know if it was due to a successful "CANCEL-ALL" or just an unmatched second bet

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
