Level Profit Column - Lay then green up at 1000 odds

Postby wesdag » Thu Jun 07, 2012 5:10 pm

Hello,

Is it not possible to lay a selection then green up using the Level Profit Column when its odds hit 1000?

It's possible green up at all odds except 1000 where the selected box is blank.

Thanks.

It's probably because the calculated stake was below minimum £2. If it attempted to green up you would end up getting £2 instead of the required stake matched at 1000 due to the way below minimum stake bets are submitted.

Thanks for your reply.

Ok, but I can green up using the Level Profit button at say 900 for pennies.

Also, if I use the tick offset function and set it to 1000, that can also green up for pennies.

Tick Offset with Auto Level I should've said.

900 is not a problem. The issue is that when backing below minimum stake the first part of the process is to back £2 at 1000 to prevent it being matched. If the odds offered are already 1000 then this will get matched instantly which is not what is wanted. When the odds are already 1000 it deliberately prevents you from greening up for pennies.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
