Access from the USA

Have any of your members been able to connect with Betfair from the USA, either by using proxy or a VPN ??

I would like to know of any likely problems, as I will be on holiday in the USA for a few weeks this summer.

I am based in the UK.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Chap, the big problem is your account but if you have one I dont see a problem working through a computer turned on in the uk running team viewer, to access a private computer I think is allowed on the free version but yo need to check with them if you have "any restrictions accessing you own pc at home".....

Thanks for your input, but I was considering using a VPN that acts as a gateway between the computer and Betfair. Not accessing my computer from the US.

Hi Chap, that is not possible, I have got around the betfair UK only problem by using a server in the uk logged on to betfair with a UK bank account and then US user has logged into server to operate betfair....
all other methods seem to be blocked to stop money laundering, and of course you need a method of getting money into your uk bank account so you can add remove money from you betfair account....you cannot add money to betfair account from any other sorce unless you have set up a payapl.....think that also has to be logged to a UK bank Account though...

To sumerise......not something that can be done without uk bank account and uk betfair account and uk bassed server, so server could be your pc at your uk address and use teamviewer........

Also, don't get caught!

If, Betfair suspect anything they will close you account and the party will be over for you!
