Tick offset feature with 2 tabs open on the same race

Postby Drunkenight » Tue Jan 31, 2012 4:00 am

Hi,

I have two tabs open with the same race on each tab. Then I link each tab to a separate spreadsheet. The first spreadsheet linked to the first tab works fine. The second spreadsheet linked to the second tab seems to work fine, except for the tick offset. I am using the following trigger:- LAY-T2-IPX . On the second spreadsheet, once the lay bet is taken, the tickoffset bet is not placed. Does anyone have any ideas why the tick offset bets are not placed on the second tab linked to the second spreadsheet? Could it be some kind of limitation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot see why it wouldn't work. I think you also use the Betdaq version so are you referring to the Betfair or Betdaq version and which version number?

Betfair version 1.1.0.66x82. I have tested it on different computers and different markets. It is really strange, on the second tab the tick offset feature always fails.

Just to add that this only happens when the second tab is showing the identical market to the first tab.

I'm having trouble replicating this issue. Are the bets on different selections or the same selection? Can you get this to happen again and send the diagnostic log? It's named BA_Diagnostic.txt and is located in "C:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs". Please email to admin@gruss-software.co.uk and quote the lay bet ref that did not have the offset bet placed.

The problem is on all selections, I don't get any offset bets placed on races using the second tab. I will send you the diagnostic log, thanks for looking into this.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
