excel modifiers

Postby thonggruss » Sun Jan 29, 2012 5:19 am

hi grussmate,

i have look into the excel modifiers but cant figure out the algorithm and sequence that i can use.

basically i want to perform an action below

if the current odd is now 6

place the back bet at 8
if its not matched at off time, cancel bet

if its matched
lay 2 tick below 8
if the lay-bet1 is matched,
place a keep-in-play-level-profit-lay-bet at the current odds+1(which is 7)
elseif laybet is not matched and market going-in-play
place a lay-bet2 at 8 with same back stake
end
end
end

so i understand action 1 is BACK-T2 (back n lay 2 tick below)
and using level profit should be TL and inply with IP
but how can i combine all the function in one?

Thanks for your help

Sorry, there isn't a trigger modifier to do all that, only the initiial back and lay at minus 2 ticks. You will need a combination of BACK, LAY and CLEAR triggers to do this.

1. BACK at 8.

2. If back bet matched use CLEAR to clear the bet ref cell so that a further bet may be placed then LAY at minus 2 tick below 8.

3. If lay bet matched place keep in play level profit bet using CLEAR and LAY-IP. You will need to calculate the correct stake.

4. If lay bet from step 4 not matched and market turned in play then use CLEAR and LAY to place the lay bet at 8.

If the above sounds too complicated then you may need the help of a developer. See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... m.php?f=12

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
