Stop Loss Settings

Hi All,

Quick question: I'm using a stop loss with placed at 5 ticks away from bet entry (on pre-off horse racing) and sometimes when the odds price moves against me and my stop loss is triggered the exit fails to get executed as the price has quickly moved past my stop loss point. This seems to be because the stop loss is an order to exit at a specific price rather than a market order to exit at the best available price. In fast moving markets this can increase the loss considerably...is there a way to make the stop loss trigger simply take the best available price at the time it's triggered to assure an exit from the bet is achieved regardless of the price when the bet hits the betfair server?

Sort of, in the Beta version. See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=9 for download link.

In this version there is an additional option: "Chase if unmatched". Tick this and the stop loss works as it does now except if unmatched after the period specified (default is 1 second) then it cancels the bet and re-enters it at the best available price. It repeats this process until fully matched. Please be aware though that it only works in conjunction with level loss so this must also be ticked.

Thanks for that, I'm actually using that version currently with the setting you have outlined. I might be asking for something that only one person finds useful (eh...me! ) however would it be possible to have a"market order added at some point so that the exit is always matched first time out?
