Greening up help please

Postby deanov » Tue Jun 29, 2010 10:02 am

I am new to software please could someone tell me how i can take profit on a trade and go in play rather than have level profit.

Example

bet @ 8.0 lay @ 4.0 i want to trade out and let profit run but at present i can only seem to be able to green up for a level profit.

Hope this makes sense

Thanks for your help.

I presume so you get a free bet, ie. profit if it wins, break even if it doesn't. Don't use the level profit column just lay it for the same stake you backed it at.

Thanks Gary.

If i do that does the potential profit show anywhere and can you still take level profit in running after that.

The potential profit only shows if you haven't unticked "Verify bets", ie. you aren't using single click and the popup box is displayed where you enter your bet. It will then display the "what if" figures next to each selection name.

Your query got me thinking about a feature that displays "what if" figures when you hover over the odds before you click to place the bet. I will be implementing this in the near future.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
