Multiple sheets

Postby Royville » Sun Jun 20, 2010 5:33 pm

This has probably been asked before so if it has could you please direct me to the appropriate post.
I have BA running and linked to Excel.
Sheet 1 is the normal sheet where ba links to excel. Sheet 2 monitors data from sheet 1 and is where I set various options - secs before start, stake etc. and sheet 3 is the normal results sheet.
Now sheet 4 records the odds for the next race. It does this every 20 sec's and starts 20 min's prior to race start. In the 'Auto Select Markets' tab, I have 'Wait Until Scheduled off. . .' ticked.
My problem is that when the next race loads there is only around 5 or 10 min's left befor the off, and I want to monitor the odds for about 20 min's.
So, is it possable for the next race to be loaded into another sheet and monitored there while the first race counts down, then switch to that next race after the previous one has started?
Maybe I need 3 sheets so as to load the races 20 minutes before the off (in a kind of loop).
Is this possable? and if so how do I do this?

Hi,

You will need to have multiple pages open in Betting Assistant. Each new page has its own Quick Pick List. You can link to the same Excel Workbook from the different pages in Betting Assistant.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for you help.

You can link to the same Excel Workbook from the different pages in Betting Assistant.

So will each Tab/Page in Betting Assistant need to link to its own seperate sheet in the Excel Workbook?

Hi,

It's probably best to do it that way. Basically you need to organise the tab pages so that if you want to log the prices 20 mins before the off that there is more than 20 mins between each race in the Quick Pick Lists.

Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
