LAY to a liability

Postby SilkBC » Sun Jan 31, 2010 10:19 am

I have searched the forum and looked through the User Guide but cannot figure out how to LAY to a specific liability.

Is there a tick box I can click on before click on the "stake button" to indicate I want that to be my liability instead of the "backer's stake"?

Thanks! :-)

At the top of the screen you should see "Staking mode: Stake". Click this and it will change to "Staking mode: Liability". Click it again and it will change to "Staking mode: Payout". Click it a third time to return it to "Staking mode: Stake".

I am referring to the Ladder interface, btw. I know the option to put it as a liability exists in the Grid interface.

That option I just described works on the ladder interface. Is it not working?

If you want to do this using our software you will need someone to create an Excel triggered betting spreadsheet for you. See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=12

You can also try putting a request on http://fad.betfair.com

Hi Gary.

Yes, that does indeed work; I missed that option when I was looking earlier.

my post about the ladder interface was made immediately after my first post; I didn't see you had posted anything at that point, so it was only meant as a clarification to my first post; not a response to yours :-)

Thanks for pointing me to it! :-)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
