SNOOKER FRAME BETTING PROBLEM

Postby JohnS » Tue Dec 08, 2009 8:52 pm

when i view my screen using your software, very limited amounts of prices and money comes up, where as at the same time using betfair manually there are always prices available to match, what things could i try to sort this?
very seldom will a player be available to match at above 2 to bet or lay??
any suggestions?

Does this mean one click software isnt an advantage in this instance? is it possible to get my screen on the assistant to what it is when watching it manually? same prices etc

Short version of it:

If someone wants to lay [back] a selection and the offer is unmatched Betfair shows corresponding back [lay] bets on all the other selections. I call them 'ghost bets'. Their odds are calculated in such a way that Betfair can't lose when someone is stupid enough to take them. The website shows them but BA and all other API applications show only 'genuine bets' and no ghost bets. That is a good thing because instead of backing a ghost bet it has to be equally good or even better to lay another selection.

so to trade on frames of snooker you need to do it manual? surely one clicking would be an asset though if there is a miss etc and the one clickers could be in first. my screen sometimes has nothing in the lay side of both players??

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
