Next Day's Events in Quick Pick List

Postby gizzard » Wed Dec 02, 2009 11:08 pm

I have had BA running for several hours today (2 Dec) and it's now 10pm UK time and I want to load the Quick Pick List with the Australian Win Only racing for (3 Dec). If I clear the Pick List and then try to load the races it reloads the 2 Dec only.
In options I have removed the flag "Only load today's events".

If I close BA and then load the races the correct ones for 3 Dec are loaded.

How can I get tomorrow's Australian races to load without shutting down?

Click the refresh button above the market tree before selecting "add to quick pick list" from the main menu.

Thanks, I haven't tried that but can I automate that in Excel too?
I want to load the races at 10:45pm UK time so that they are loaded in time for the Australian racing. I have used the provided Excel routine (thanks) and altered the time but how can I 'refresh' too?

The Excel routine automatically refreshes the market tree.

Also I recommend you update to the latest Beta if you haven't already done so as previous versions had problems when refreshing the quick pick list from Excel.

See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3922 for download link.

I'm still having a problem with this.
I'm attempting this manually.

The situation:
My BA has been open for around 24 hours and the Australian markets currently showing are 8th Dec (yesterday's for Australia).
I've downloaded the latest Beta and am running 1.1.0.64.
In the quick pick list options I have "only show today's markets UN-ticked.
It's currently 23:30 UK time on 8th Dec but 10:30 (am) for Australia (AEDT) on 9th Dec.

If I hit refresh I still only get the markets for 8th Dec and none for 9th Dec.

Just adding to the last message, I have now closed BA and re-opened it (still around the same time) and the markets for 9th Dec are correctly picked up by the auto-load quick pick list.

Another one that I thought I'd bump as the market still fails to load the next day for an Australian quick pick list.

When the problem happens again please select "Save market tree diagnostic data" from the options menu. It will create two files which you can send to admin@gruss-software.co.uk so I can test it.

The two files are named "UK_Markets.txt" and "AUS_Markets.txt" and are located in "C:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs"

Strange.
I just Refreshed the markets as they're still showing 1 May and it's now 2 May both in Aus and UK and I still get 1 May. I found the directory that you mention but neither of the files that you want me to send are there.

Did you select "Save market tree diagnostic data" from the options menu before looking for the files?

No, I didn't read your instructions properly! I'm sending the files by email now.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
