BACK-F'x'-SL3-SL Trigger

Postby thunderfoot » Tue Dec 01, 2009 1:52 pm

"BACK-F'x'-SL3-SL, where 'x' is the number of seconds to go to the scheduled off. This trigger is activated on my BACK worksheet."

Still testing this trigger ..................

£1.00 BACK bet fired-in at 4.5 odds; bet MATCHED 2 seconds later; £1.05 LAY bet fired-in at 4.3 odds 1 second later; PARTLY MATCHED (15p) 16 seconds later but the LAY Bet Ref. did not show the LAY bet as being PARTLY MATCHED i.e. it wasn't suffixed with a 'P'.

"If a bet is partially matched and the unmatched portion has not been cancelled then the bet reference will have P as the suffix (eg. 3230882684P)."

Result: 90p of the LAY bet not MATCHED for a successful trade.

Any ideas??

It's the same issue you had previously. The ref column shows the ref for the back bet, not the lay bet so it will not show partially matched for the back bet as that wouldn't be right.

The Beta version lets you display an extra column displaying the offset bet. When you set up the link to Excel tick "Offset bet references" in the additional columns list. The additional columns are output starting at column Y.

The refs in the additional column are delimited by ; and are suffixed by the following.
P offset bet placed as a result of original bet being partially matched
F offset bet placed as a result of original bet being fully matched
S offset bet is a stop loss bet

So you could receive several refs suffixed with P followed by a final ref suffixed with F or a final bet suffixed with S

Basically as soon as a reference appears in the additional column with F appended then you know the offset bet is fully matched.

Alternatively you can just select the "Offset bet matched flag" column which will contain Y if the offset bet is fully matched.

Gary, No, wasn't that as the Bet Ref's that I record in EXCEL are those shown on the MyBets pages. Use the MyBets info for the very reason you mentioned.

The bet refs on MyBets do not have P appended when they are partially matched, that only applies to the bet ref from column T on the main worksheet.

If a bet is partially matched it will appear twice on MyBets. Once with status U and once with status F.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
