help? - SP trigger

Postby mikey » Fri Nov 06, 2009 7:30 pm

If i input "BACK-PL50-SP" should i get an offset bet at 50% of the SP odds when inplay ( if not matched before the off)?

All I get is the Back bet at SP but no Lay bet, Is this because i am using less than the min stakes? or is the trigger wrong?

The trigger is correct. I'll have to wait until the racing starts to check if it is working. I'll let you know later.

After you had triggered the back bet did you remain on the same market until the SP bet was matched or had you navigated to another market or navigated to another market and come back to this market? Doing this will cause the program to forget about your tick offset bet.

I'M testing something so am only using 10p stakes, bet is taken and waiting at odds of 1000 until inplay and then gets matched at sp with 10p stake but no ofset bet.

If you requested odds 1000 that explains it. I've just tested it and there is a bug which means you cannot request below minimum stake at 1000 with tick offset. Use 990 instead. I will fix it.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
