Good evening can any one help with this ?. I used the ladder this afternoon set my stop loss to 4 ticks put in a lay bet for £100 as I clicked it it vanished but was not matched , the message said that , and the ladder clearly showed the money was not matched .

A message came up which said processing !!!

I still clicked cancel bet just to be safe .. a message came up no bet to cancel .

A minute or so late I noticed it is now matched ....... 1 min before the off . I could also see the stop loss had kicked in and I took a £15 loss on the field ??

Any ideas , first time Gruss has had a wobble for me ,, best All Redders

When it says "processing" it has definitely sent a bet request to Betfair and is awaiting a response. You tried to cancel the bet while it was still waiting for a response so there was nothing to cancel. It sounds like it took a long time for Betfair to process the bet due to problem at their end. Once it finally got processed and Betting Assistant received a response it applied the stop loss as you had asked it to.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
