Saddlecloth numbers in Excel

Postby yursaduian » Sat Oct 17, 2009 10:33 pm

Hi Gary

I've been using your code without any problems for quite sometime now extracting Live Fractional and Decimal Odds and Saddlecloth Numbers from Sporting Life.

The saddlecloth numbers suddenly started returning an error on Thursday and have not worked since.

Have you any idea please?

Thanks

What is the error that they are returning?

The cell where the saddlecloth number used to be is now "#VALUE!"

Sorry Gary

but maybe I should also add that everything comes through fine to my spreadsheet from BA until the figures from Sporting Life kick in (first show) thats when everything goes up the wall

Does this help?

Is it possible to send me the spreadsheet as I cannot replicate this problem. You can send it to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

Alternatively you could use the built in option to export the saddlecloth number to Excel using the Beta version. See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=3922 for download link. When you set up the link to Excel you have the option to select extra columns including the saddlecloth number.

Gary

I've updated to the latest version (not beta) and with a bit of tweeking in my spreadsheet, it seems to be working fine again so not really sure what went on.

Hey ho - we're up and running again and that's what matters :D

Thanks again for your help

Cheers!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
