The problem is that it is returning an error when downloading the page even though it does appear to be downloading it correctly. I am working on a fix.

I am moving this to help because this is not a Betting Assistant bug.

Just briefly of course... don't spend too much time on it.

Thanks.

Hi Gary.

I had written to RP about the previous problem stating that the page no longer loading properly or fully. Still have not got a response.

I see now that you are using the 'Full' Webpage to get the racing id's, hence it takes longer. But I have to say this piece of code is incredible and you are a very talented man to produce it.

Thanks for your hard work, I really appreciate it.

Hi Gary

I've had problems today as well but I don't get anything from RP, I use your code to extract the live prices from Sporting Life and also the saddlecloth numbers (which are critical for my purposes)

It didn't work and was returning an error but I found it worked ok if I inserted the saddlecloth numbers into my spreadsheet manually

Will the new sample excel sheet do the trick for me or do I need something else?

Cheers

Hi Gary - just downloaded latest and tried it but all I get is Excel hanging with a Not Responding message. I don't know if it makes a difference but I am still using Excel 2000.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
