cabin doors to manual

Postby dgs2001 » Fri Oct 02, 2009 11:48 am

Hello everyone

Does anybody know what is the best way to have a zero refresh rate?
I read somewhere on the forum about large refresh rates causing problems?

And then is there a q2 trigger for a single full market and associated info refresh which I can call when required?

Basically I wish to have all markets open in one tab, linked to 1 page in excel, with all set to manual or no refresh. Then as I need to, my VBA can call a refresh of any one of the markets.

There isn't currently a way of doing that. It would require Betting Assistant to poll Excel when it is not actually refreshing prices. It isn't set up to do that, although it's technically possible. It's something I can consider for a future release.

Thanks Gary.

I think it would be useful as the move to more and more mobile broadband through phone networks happens.

Just out of interest what is the limit in seconds that refreshes can currently be set to?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
